LADIES RACE TRIUMPH!
15 years after the last lady won the Adams Bowl trophy, we ran the Ladies and Junior Trophy race on Saturday 26th September. We had 13 competitors and although the morning started with light winds, it picked up enough to have a fantastic race. The photo was taken to replicate the photo when it was last won. Congratulations to Abbie Harrell for winning the race. We also ran some shorter races for our younger juniors.

Wayfarer Association rally to Bembridge
A fabulous Wayfarer Association rally (setting off from MRSC) to Bembridge last Saturday was a brilliant affair! Our thanks go to Gemma at Bembridge Sailing Club for making Association and MRSC members very welcome, and all who helped organise such a fantastic day. We even had an MRSC Wanderer and Scow sail over too. This is the last of the season but hopefully more of these cross-Solent rallies will follow next year.

Rowing at MRSC
Over the last few months, the rowers at the club have enjoyed a variety of outings when the weather and tide have been favourable. These have been mainly social rows but we have run a few endurance rows for the more experienced rowers. We have also run some taster sessions. During the summer, Tudor Sailing Club ran monthly "Friendly Friday" evenings when they invited local rowing clubs and sailing clubs that have rowing as

JUNIOR RACE WEEK - Wow, what a week!
Junior week was once again a huge success on and off the water. We welcomed 77 sailors, with 40 from visiting clubs, and the amazing weather gave us perfect conditions for our 4 fleets to learn and race. The fun continued off the water, especially with our Mengeham Challenge and the ever popular Thursday night disco... enjoyed by all! Then Friday prize giving rounded off the week where many received their well earned rewards.

MRSC 2026 Regatta a great success!
The results for our MRSC Regatta are HERE . The Rowans 27th Charity race
Our Rowans 27th Charity Race was a great success! "The MRSC Rowans Charity Race was held on the 14th June 2026. There were 47 boats finished, of which 15 came from MRSC, including 7 which were juniors. We would like to express great appreciation to all MRSC sailors, and members, who kindly donated to this worthy cause. A total of £1048 was raised, from the race, which has been passed to the Rowans

Dinghy Park re-organising starts!
Last weekend a the team of volunteers managed organised by our dinghy park ranger Jeremy Rapley set about re-organising the dinghy park. We started with the wayfarers and wanderers and will go on to the Lasers and others soon. Great care was taken in moving boats and water was bailed out where necessary. Eggcellent Easter Race!
Last weekend the winds were not too kind but Easter Monday saw the Easter Egg Race get off to a flying start. We had a good number of entrants with Joe and Hugh Stallard 1st in a laser 2000, 2nd Robert Bridges, 3rd Roger and Ali Kent. The results can be found HERE . Good Friday's races were blown out. St Patricks Night a great 'craic'!
Thank you to everyone who supported the quiz last weekend. It was very well attended. We had 8 teams of 6, with Ian Harris's team the winners. A big thank you to Sharon who cooked a delicious Irish Stew and a Seafood Chowder. Lee Baker made cocktails and Patrick Whitfield the Quizmaster. A great 'craic' was had by all!

'Clear the Cobwebs' Practice Race - Mar 21st
Our first race of the season gets under way on March 21st. Time to get the covers off and clean up your dinghies in readiness. Its a club start/club finish and there's a pre-race talk from Graeme Macdonald to start you up for any who are quite new to racing or a reminder to those coming back to it.
